Welcome to Metro City Beat

I believe there are many citizens in the Dallas/Fort Worth  Metroplex that have a keen interest in local government activities.  This may be an ongoing interest in the activities at your City Hall or a singular problem that popped-up in your neighborhood. 

Many times, priorities are established and decisions are made before the general public becomes aware the matter is under consideration.  Yet, the governing body has conducted its business in public and has made decisions that may affect each and every one of us.  We were simply not paying attention. 
   
In these days of the internet, most entities post a wealth of information on their web sites.   However, many entities can do more.  With your assistance, we will “nudge” these entities for more transparency.  

Some of the information I post will be from published stories from both traditional and non-traditional media outlets.  I believe it’s good to hear from diverse sources.  As time permits, original stories will be developed and posted.   The site is non-partisan and will not endorse candidates.

Stringers will become key contributors to the site.  The Metroplex is simply too large not to have many part-time news hounds that have information to share.  I encourage you to participate.
